The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is an honest lyrical album during a transformational period in Hill’s life.  The album concept relates to a school-like environment where Hill sings about the experiences that shaped her and what she has learnt from them. The layered butterfly is created with pencil shavings to represent learning, growth and change.
